Styrodur Take-Back System mcyclo

Thanks to its outstanding properties, Styrodur is the ideal product for insulation work of all kinds. At the same time, strengthening the circulation economy is very important to us. 

The economical use of fossil resources and the closing of material cycles are major challenges in the construction sector. Therefore, waste avoidance and resource-saving production have been an integral part of the Styrodur philosophy for many years.

With mcyclo, we have launched a Germany-wide take-back system for clean Styrodur off-cuts from construction sites. As part of mcyclo, off-cuts are collected from the construction site together with our sales partners and then reprocessed. Clean Styrodur with the flame retardant Polymer-FR, which has been used since 2014, can be completely recycled, whereby the resulting regranulate can be used for the production of new insulation materials.

Digital system ensures easy processing

The mcyclo take-back system works very simply. The off-cuts are collected on the construction site in special, also recyclable delivery bags. These can be handed in at participating builders merchants throughout Germany. For this purpose, craftsmen select the preferred collection point and the desired delivery date online under www.mcyclo.com. After confirmation, the bags can be handed in at the selected site. Particular emphasis was placed on ease of use and interactivity of the digital mcyclo platform. In order to enable easy use on the construction site, the system can also be used conveniently with mobile devices such as smartphones or tablets, for example.
